The time sure has been flying around here, Charlotte is now 3 months old (technically almost 4) and she is growing so much! Here are her 2 month stats:
Length- 24.75 inches-99%
Weight- 12 lbs 2 oz-80%
Head- 15.5-68%
So she has a small head compared to her sisters and I think she will be my tall one.

She can now roll over both ways, she is super ticklish and loves to talk to you and smile. She has the best grin, it lights up her whole face, she is gorgeous and we all love her at the Barnes house!

Sophia,
you turned 4 years old on November 20th and I cannot believe how time flys! You are such a beautiful, smart and funny little girl. You always tell me "I am in charge mom" and when I say "no I am in charge" you say "but I am in charge of Leila and Charlotte". You are a wonderful big sister and you set a wonderful example for your little sisters, we love you Sophia Lynn!

For your party you wanted to have a flower cake so that is what I made you, I used cupcakes for the petals and I think it turned out very cute.

On the morning of September 28, 2011 Milton and I left the house at 6:45 AM and headed to the hospital my belly looked like this...

we got to the hospital and as usual waited...and waited and waited some more, then around 9 I got an IV. Around 10 in the morning they gave me antibiotics in my IV (I was strep positive), and started the pitocin. Right after this my doctor came in and checked me, I was 4.5 centimeters dialated and she broke my water, I was so excited to finally after 39 weeks be moving along! I got the telemotry unit (spelling ?) so I could ~~waddle~~ walk around the hospital, I walked around for about an hour and then decided to go back to my room. I had enough pain at 12 and I decided it was time for an epidural, so they called the anethesiologist and by the time she got there I was in a lot of pain. If the nurse had checked me at this point I would not have even gotten one because I was most likely fully dialated. But anyways, at 12:45 the epidural had kicked in but I was having this strange really sharp pain in my lower back with each contraction, it was unbearable and so the doctor checked me to see if her head was coming down and possibly pressing on a nerve. The doctor checked me and I was fully dialated and ready to push, "what?!!" I could not believe that it had gone so fast, I was not expecting that at all, and no one was there yet (my sisters had not arrived), I was a little bit panicked but excited too. I started pushing at 1:21 PM and she was born at 1:26, so it was super quick.

When I fist saw her, she looked so small, we were all guessing that she was around 6 pounds, she actually weighed 7 lbs 9 oz, she is our biggest baby so far, hopefully the next one is not much bigger then her. More pictures will follow, but here are a few from the hospital.

Our baby girl is 3 weeks old now and we love her so much, she is an awesome baby who doesn't even cry except when something is wrong. Our lives have been hectic in the past 3 weeks to say the least, but we are so happy to finally meet her. Sophia and Leila, are so excited that she is here, they constantly ask me to hold her and whenever she crys they want to sing to her and they get so upset when they cannot soothe her. It took us 2 days to finalize her name, but we love it. Charlotte means a 'small strong woman' and Adele means 'noble', so we love the name and it fits her perfectly!

I am a few days late with this birthday message but hopefully it will be forgiven. Leila you are now 2 years old I can hardly believe that you have been in our family that long, the time has flown by! Leila we all love you so much and you are so funny, you most definitely can hold your own against your sister you are very loud and stubborn. You are talking so much, your favorite things to say are "mine" and "no". You love flip flops and not the ones with straps that are your size, no you like to wear the ones that are Sophia's (2 sizes too big), you rarely chose ones that are the same color and they almost never are for the right feet. You are such a sweet spirit and you still love to cuddle which we all love about you, you are a wonderful sister to Sophia and Charlotte and we are so blessed to have you in our family.

Milton is a college graduate!! I am so proud of him he has worked so hard, had to take time off and it has been a long road but finally we made it! He graduated on Saturday August 13th, 2011.
Now the summer graduations are supposed to be smaller, around 400 graduates, his was over 800! It took forever and the seating was non-existent, the girls would not hold still but when they called his name it all seemed worth it!

Of course Sophia had to do something funny, there was a vent by the building and she was doing a Marilyn Monroe with her dress

I am so tired lately, there are 6 more weeks until my due date and I am so worn down. I hope this baby girl decides to come a little early (like Leila) so that we can meet her. It was around 100 degrees yesterday and as usual super humid, I almost died.

Anyways my mom and I have been doing a little bit of canning lately, we went and picked like 28 pounds of raspberries and blueberries and made jam. Yesterday we made 26 quarts of pickles and this next week we are canning peaches, it has all been relatively easy yet so much fun!

Baby Girl #3

So now that I am now 24 weeks pregnant I am doing a post about our newest addition. Milton and I are having another baby girl, I am due October 4th, 2011. We are very excited and we don't really know what we are going to name her yet, and no we are NOT disappointed that it is a 3rd girl, we are ecstatic and honestly it will be much cheaper. Sophia and Leila are very excited about it, they love talking to my belly and they will stop playing to give their baby sister in Mommy's tummy a hug or a kiss.

We have discussed a couple names and Charlotte is one of them, Sophia likes the Rugrats and she thinks that the baby's name is Charlotte Pickles (the mom in Rugrats). I am not quite sure how we are going to convince her that it is anything else, but we have 16 more weeks to figure that one out.

Love these faces!! I love these girls so much, I just wanted to post some new pictures of my two favorite girlies in the world!!

Sophia- I love that you call yourself a different name every week and that you love your sisters so much. I love that you sing "Hey Soul Sister" and that you know more songs on the radio then I do!

Leila- I love how you always give me a cheesy grin and love to show off your 9 teeth all at the same time. I love that you are tough, yet a sweet little girl at the same time.

Christmas Eve was spent at the Barnes house opening PJ's and reading stories, and I left my camera at home...of course. When we got home we opened PJ's with my family and the girls went to bed, Milton and I went to find the box that held our stockings and wrapping supplies...alas two hours later, no box and no wrapping completed. End result went to bed around 3:30, and secured stockings from my mom's extra stash. On Christmas morning we were awoken at 8:30 and we went down to see what Santa brought us and open gifts.

Sophia is such a big help with Leila and she talks so good now. The things she says amaze me, because not only does she repeat everything you say (very clearly) but she uses the words in the correct context. She loves to squish leilas cheeks and say "you're so chubby Leila, you're so chubby!" but when she says chubby it sounds like tubby. She also smooshed Miltons cheeks one day and said the same thing lol. One day Milton said I love you Sophia and she said I know it daddy I know it! She is so smart and adorable and loves her Leila so much! Sophia now weighs 23lbs 8 oz and is 35in tall. She is also 100% potty-trained now! She lets us know when she has to go and she will hold it if a potty is not readily available. She is a potty star!!

So you have all seen the new pictures, but what is going on with us? Well Milton found a job!!! I am so excited, he starts next week, it is a temporary job but hopefully they will keep him on after it is over. Sophia is getting so big and she talks all the time now, she turns practically everything into a song. The other day in the car she was singing "mommy, daddy leila leila leila" it was so cute! She is almost 2 and coming into the terrible twos for sure, she is a sassy one! Leila is almost 7 weeks and she is big! She is already in size 3 months cloths, which Sophia did not wear until she was actually over 3 months, she already wears size 1 diapers and she is growing so much. She smiles a lot and she has a dimple in each cheek. She was in the hospital for 3 days when she was 10 days old because she had a pneumonia (not sure on spelling) and it was really sad, especially because Sophia could not visit because they were concerned with swine flu, but she is doing much better now. I am excited that Milton has a job yet nervous because he works from 8-4:30 then has school from 5:40-9:20 so we will probably only see him on Sundays for the few hours we are out of church and not doing homework!

She has arrived, Leila Reagan Barnes was born at 7:53 am on September 24, 2009. She weighed 7lbs 5oz and she was 20 and 1/4 inches long, she is gorgeous and she has a ton of hair, these pictures do not even do all that hair justice. We thought Sophia would be jealous of Leila and not like her, but it's the opposite she loves her and calls her "my baby Leila" and when anyone else trys to hold her she pushes them away and says "my baby" so we are glad that she is not super protective of me.

Funny Story (Kind of)

So some time ago (in December actually) I had just done a temple session with Kelli and the guys and babies met us so we could walk around the temple lights. As we were walking around looking at the lights Sophia was getting antsy so we let her walk around. Sophia and Milton were walking a bit ahead of me and I heard a lady start talking to Milton about Sophia, you know the usual "shes so cute" and "she is so little to be walking" So as I got closer this is the dialogue that ensued:
Lady: Now where's this girls mommy
Of course I step forward so proud to claim my beautiful girl
Me: I'm right here
Lady: (looking shocked) Now you're not tiny how come you have such a tiny baby!
Me: I guess big people can have tiny babies too!

I was in such shock, now I am sure she probably was not saying I am fat, she probably just meant that I am not some 4'11" tiny skinny lady, but still. I could not believe she said that. The worse part was Lance was not even a foot away from us laughing a super loud "I cant believe it" laugh. So that is my kind of funny story...

Sophia got two parties, mostly for me because I knew she would have a big one in Portland and I decided to have a small one in AZ so that I could practice making her ladybug cake. So we just had a small party with burgers and cake and ice cream then in Portland was the big bash. Here are some photos from that.

The day after we purchased our tickets to Portland the worst snow/ice storm hit there. So we thought "we arent leaving for a week and a half so we won't have to worry about it." WRONG!! It stayed the course, Miltons sister Wendy was supposed to leave on Sunday and her flight got delayed and delayed again and then again, she did not even make it in until Tuesday. So this whole time I was panicked! I thought we would not make it in with enough time before christmas. Well luckily we made it there( with a 3 almost 4 hour delay) on Tuesday night at like 10. So for the point of this post while we were there it was still snowing so Sophia got to go in the snow for the first time.

So each year (since last year :) Milton and I do a family birthday party for my family. So instead of getting gifts all year for everyone, we have an annual family birthday party and do food, games, presents and fun. This year even though we moved to AZ we still did one, so these are pictures from that.

This summer has been one of the craziest ones so far, but also one of the funnest and at the same time the saddest. It has been crazy and sad because we have moved to Phoenix AZ because Milton got a really good job at University of Phoenix. It has also been the funnest summer because Sophia is crawling all over the place now and doing so many new things, here are some pictures of our fun times so far...

Hello everybody
Milton and I are expecting our first baby on November 21st, 2007. We got to see the heartbeat last week and we got to see a picture of our baby. That was amazing!!! Here is the picture of our baby. Isn't it adorable?!
